Motorola Droid Bionic Review
The Highlights
By far the fastest phone offered by Verizon.
-Just to be honest. The phone is kind of huge. It’s not big in a bad way but it is just has a massive screen (4.3 inches).
To me personally… that’s awesome because most of my time is spent browsing various things.
-Holy instant internet, batman. The speed of the internet delivery is astonishing.
It seriously kicks the crap out of the speed of the iPhone 4. In fact until iPhone goes 4G… it’s a caveman tool now.
- But this is not an advertisement for Motorola. It’s a review. So here’s the dirty details your after ->
Unlimited data is slowly dying. Still unlimited? Well good for you because that’s not lasting.
This phone in it’s nature, eats data. You can access information and download it quicker then ever before which means you are also downloading quicker then ever before. Upgrade your data plan if you are the basic, you’ll thank yourself later.
The Break Down
The Motorola Droid Bionic is a smart phone that boasts of incredible speed, unsurpassed power and
entertainment value. It is being marketed with a moniker of being the ‘fastest and most advanced
4G LTE network in America.’
The most striking feature of the phone rests on its OS and CPU specifications primarily geared
towards achieving and sufficiently supporting a fast and multi-function mobile experience- be it
surfing, playing music and videos and a number of multi-media functions.
According to the Verizon website, users can expect a download speed of up to 12 Mbps and an upload speed ranging from 2 to 5 Mbps. Another outstanding feature is the integration of the ZumoCast application which allows remote access of videos, music and pictures stored on a PC device to their phone.
The smartphone also offers a wider and larger viewing experience for users with its ‘larger-than-
your-usual- smartphone’ display dimensions.
The User Comments
Initial user reviews indicate a thumbs down for the unavailability of the GSM functionality however
many praised the phone for its apparent speed in switching from one application to another.
A lot of first hand users are raving for its highly responsive touch screen and impressive resolution
which is so much a function of its increased display dimensions.
While the phone has been widely marketed as an ‘entertainment’ smartphone, it stands proud as
a corporate gadget too with an integration of business ready functionalities with superb security
policies including a resizable and scrollable email screen, calendar and task widgets plus Citrix and
GoToMeeting for Android platforms.
There have been observations that the quality of the phone speakers are below average making it
unfit for conference calls.
As per recent update, the Droid Bionic is available in Verizon Wireless Communication Stores and
online at www.verizonwireless.com for $299.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.
The official Verizon site also states that as per policy : ‘customers will need to subscribe to a Verizon
Wireless Nationwide Talk plan beginning at $39.99 for 450 minutes per month and a smartphone
data package starting at $30 monthly access for 2 GB of data.’
